About

Elizabeth A. McFarland is a Sedona, Arizona sole practitioner whose work includes wills, trusts, corporations, LLCs, partnerships, commercial transactions, general business law, and appeals. She has practiced independently since 2002 after earlier work in complex commercial litigation and transactional matters. Her experience includes estate planning and probate as well as disputes involving contracts, business relationships, employment, property, securities, corporate governance, and commercial landlord-tenant issues.

Elizabeth earned a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where she made the Dean’s List and worked on the Georgetown Immigration Law Journal. She received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles, with honors and scholarship recognition. Her legal and academic background supports a practice that crosses estate planning, business organization, commercial transactions, litigation, appeals, and questions requiring careful research and written analysis.

Elizabeth’s prior experience includes commercial litigation and appeals in state and federal courts around the country, civil discovery and motions practice, and work on disputes involving fraud, breach of contract, joint ventures, employment, securities, corporate governance, and commercial leasing. She also advised clients on corporate, banking, and transactional matters and previously served as an arbitrator for disputes between customers and securities brokers through the National Association of Securities Dealers.

Elizabeth A. McFarland has combined litigation, appellate, transactional, and planning experience throughout her career. Her current Sedona practice allows her to assist clients with estate documents, business entities, commercial agreements, and appeals while drawing on years of contested-case experience. She has served in community and professional roles in Northern Arizona, including healthcare and charitable organizations, and brings a broad legal perspective to planning and business matters.
