Mr. Kay-Oliphant earned his Juris Doctor with honors from Emory University School of Law, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Emory Law Journal and was named a William Agnor Scholar. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Northwestern University and was a Hardy Debate Scholar. After law school, he clerked for the Honorable W. Eugene Davis on the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Known for managing litigation from inception through trial and appeal, Mr. Kay-Oliphant has successfully led numerous high-profile cases. These include defending Southwest Airlines in federal class actions, winning appeals in the Seventh Circuit, and securing multimillion-dollar arbitration awards. He has litigated before the U.S. Supreme Court, several federal appellate courts, and arbitration panels, including JAMS and AAA.

Among his major achievements, Eli J. Kay-Oliphant represented nearly 100 workers in a lawsuit tied to World Cup infrastructure, secured an $8 million arbitration award for a private equity client, and helped obtain a favorable settlement in the Seth Rich v. Fox News case. His litigation work has safeguarded businesses and individuals in “bet-the-company” scenarios involving commercial fraud and regulatory disputes.

Admitted to practice in Illinois, New York, and Washington, D.C., as well as multiple U.S. appellate and district courts, Mr. Kay-Oliphant continues to shape outcomes in business torts, constitutional law, and mass claims litigation. He has been recognized as a Super Lawyer since 2022, reflecting his consistent excellence and impact in complex legal matters.
