Elena Farley

Elena Farley advises individuals, property owners, and business clients on a wide range of legal matters involving transactions and disputes. Her work includes real estate, landlord-tenant law, business law, estate planning, employment law, and contract disputes. She represents clients in negotiations, mediation, arbitration, and litigation across many property and business matters.

Elena earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Puget Sound, summa cum laude. She later received her Juris Doctor from Willamette University College of Law, magna cum laude, graduating in the top ten percent of her law school class. During law school, she served as Associate Editor of the Willamette Law Review.

Elena focuses much of her practice on real estate and landlord-tenant matters. She prepares legal documents such as leases, easements, purchase and sale agreements, land sale contracts involving seller financing, promissory notes, and deeds of trust. She also represents clients in disputes involving boundary issues, ejectment claims, fraud allegations, and breach of contract related to property transactions.

Elena also works closely with business owners on legal matters connected to starting and operating companies. She assists with selecting the proper corporate entity, maintaining required corporate records, and preparing important business agreements such as construction contracts. Her litigation experience includes handling disputes involving breach of contract and other business conflicts.

Elena helps individuals and families plan for the future through estate planning services. She prepares wills and trusts designed to meet specific family goals, including planning for the care of minor children. Her work helps clients organize their assets and provide clear instructions for how their property should be managed or distributed.

Elena Farley also represents employers facing workplace claims, including wage and hour disputes, discrimination complaints, and other employee allegations. She drafts employee handbooks, workplace rules, and policies, and provides educational sessions on employer practices. Her experience includes work with whistleblower law while clerking at Kohn, Kohn & Colapinto, LLP.
