Edward W. Johnson

Edward W. Johnson has practiced law in Indiana for more than five decades. Admitted to the Indiana Bar in 1970, he began his legal career as an Assistant State Attorney General, serving from 1970 to 1973. After that role, he continued practicing in Evansville, handling complex legal matters and building a strong reputation for dependable counsel and sound judgment.

Edward earned his B.S. in 1966 from Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana. He then pursued his legal education at Indiana University at Bloomington School of Law, Bloomington, Indiana. There, he completed his J.D. in 1969. His academic path reflects a steady dedication to legal study and preparation for a long-standing career in public service and private practice.

Edward focuses much of his work on mediation and is both a Certified Civil Mediator and a Certified Family Law Mediator. He has been voted an Indiana Super Lawyer in Mediation. In addition to mediation, he maintains an active practice in Estate planning, Wills, Trusts and Powers of Attorney, Corporate Law, Real Estate Law, and Probate.

Edward has shared his knowledge through teaching and professional leadership. He served as an Adjunct Faculty Member for Para-Legal instruction at the University of Evansville from 1975 to 1979. He also served as President of the Evansville Bar Association from 1989 to 1990 and remains a long-time member of state and national bar associations.

Edward W. Johnson continues to assist individuals, families, and business clients with thoughtful legal strategies. His experience before the U.S. Court of Appeals 7th Circuit, the U.S. Supreme Court, and the U.S. Tax Court reflects the breadth of his legal background. Through mediation and traditional legal representation, Edward remains committed to helping clients resolve disputes and plan for the future with confidence.
