Edward F. McCrea

Edward F. McCrea has devoted more than four decades to serving clients across Monroe County and the surrounding areas. Since beginning his practice in 1972, he has built a career centered on strong courtroom advocacy and practical guidance. His work reflects a deep commitment to helping individuals and families resolve difficult legal matters with steady, experienced representation.

Edward earned his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Harvard University in 1969. He then continued his education at Indiana University at Bloomington School of Law, Bloomington, Indiana, where he received his Juris Doctor in 1972. His academic background laid a solid foundation for a long and respected legal career in Indiana.

Ed focuses his practice on Family Law, Estate Planning and Probate, and a broad range of civil matters. Over the years, he has handled personal injury and wrongful death cases, along with estate and trust administration, real estate disputes, landlord/tenant issues, and business law concerns. As a certified mediator, he also helps parties resolve conflicts outside the courtroom when possible.

Ed has extensive trial experience, having conducted bench and jury trials in Monroe County and in neighboring counties for more than forty years. He has represented teachers and their families through the Indiana State Teachers Association (ISTA) for decades. In addition, he serves five rural not-for-profit water corporations in Monroe County, providing steady legal counsel.

Edward F. McCrea is admitted to practice in Indiana and is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association and Monroe County Bar Association.
