Edward Curley is a veteran attorney and a founding member of Curley, Dodge, Fitzgerald, & Funk, LLC. Since 1987, he has been serving clients across Delaware in matters involving family law, personal injury, and medical malpractice. Ed prioritizes effective outcomes while minimizing emotional and financial strain because he is known for his thorough, client-centered approach.
Edward earned his Juris Doctor from Widener University School of Law in 1987. He previously completed undergraduate degrees in Political Science and Philosophy at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He is admitted to practice before the Delaware State Bar, the United States District Courts for Delaware and New Jersey, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Edward handles custody disputes, divorce proceedings, support issues, and complex property division in family law, including multi-million-dollar marital estates. With empathy drawn from both professional and personal experiences, he focuses on minimizing trauma, especially in cases involving children. His practice emphasizes fair, customized resolutions suited to each client’s unique circumstances.
Beyond family law, Edward is highly experienced in litigating and settling personal injury and medical negligence cases. He serves on multiple boards, including the Delaware Trial Lawyers Association, where he is Membership Chair for Kent County, and the Family Court Civil Rules Committee. He has provided pro bono representation for children through the Office of the Child Advocate and supports disability arts programs through Art Works 4 All.
