Dorothy J. McMichen

Dorothy J. McMichen is a seasoned Florida attorney recognized for her decades-long dedication to marital and family law. Since beginning her legal career in 1983, she has provided trusted counsel in complex divorce, child custody, and property division cases. Dorothy completed her undergraduate studies at Chapman College in Anaheim, California, earning a B.A. in Economics and Business in 1979. She then attended the University of Florida College of Law in Gainesville, obtaining her Juris Doctor in May 1983. That same year, she was admitted to the Florida Bar, marking the start of a distinguished career focused on family and marital law.

Dorothy began as an associate at the law firm of R. Patrick Phillips, where she practiced general law before turning her focus exclusively to marital and family law in 1990. By 1992, she became a partner at Phillips & McMichen, P.A., where she deepened her experience in complex litigation.
