Disha Roy

Disha Roy is a civil litigation attorney with more than a decade of experience handling complex injury and business disputes. Her work centers on guiding injured individuals through demanding legal matters while managing cases from intake through resolution with a steady strategy, preparation, and a consistent focus on client advocacy.

Disha earned her B.A. in 2009 from the University of Texas San Antonio, where she studied business with a concentration in small business and entrepreneurship. She later completed her J.D. in 2012 at South Texas College of Law, Houston, Texas, graduating early after active involvement in clinics, advocacy programs, and legal internships.

Disha began her legal career focusing on employment and tax law before expanding into civil litigation. Over time, she developed experience across every phase of a case, building skills in investigation, pleadings, discovery, negotiation, and trial preparation while consistently representing injured clients in high-stakes matters.

Disha has handled matters involving catastrophic injuries such as chemical plant explosions, trucking accidents, and product defects, as well as complex business disputes. Her work has included serving as general counsel for companies with revenues up to $500,000,000.00 and achieving results, including a 2018 settlement named among the top 50 settlements in Texas.

Disha remains active in professional and community organizations, including the Houston Trial Lawyers Association, Houston Young Lawyers Association, South Asian Bar Association, South Texas Young Alumni Council, and University of Texas San Antonio Houston Chapter. Her recognitions include a Certified Indian classical dancer in Kuchipudi and the Hindus of Greater Houston Youth Achievement Award, 2011.

Disha was admitted to practice in Texas in 2013, in the Western District of Texas in 2014, and in the Southern District of Texas in 2023. She communicates in English and Bengali and is versed in Spanish, allowing her to work effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds throughout complex civil litigation matters.
