Diane F. Vallentine

Diane F. Vallentine is a highly respected attorney with more than four decades of experience in Alaska’s legal community. Her diversified civil practice focuses on representing businesses in commercial litigation, bankruptcy law, and commercial transactions. She also has significant experience in contested trust and estate litigation, applying her business litigation background to complex disputes. Unique among Alaska lawyers, Vallentine also handles workers’ compensation premium law, making her practice especially distinctive and versatile.

Vallentine earned her B.A., with highest honors, from the University of California in 1974 and her J.D., with distinction, from the University of Arizona in 1977. She is admitted to the Alaska Bar and practices before the U.S. District Court for the District of Alaska. Over the course of her career, she has become a well-known leader in the legal profession, serving as president of the Alaska Bar Association, the Anchorage Bar Association, and the Alaska Academy of Trial Lawyers.

Vallentine has served as lead trial counsel in a wide range of complex commercial disputes, including contract and fraud cases, foreclosures, shareholder and partnership conflicts, employment matters, real estate litigation, secured lending, and banking issues. She has successfully resolved hundreds of cases through strategic settlements, mediation, trial, and dispositive motions.
