Diana J. Huntsman

Diana J. Huntsman has more than three decades of legal experience representing individuals through complex family disputes and civil litigation. Her practice emphasizes practical legal solutions, effective advocacy, and alternative dispute resolution tailored to each client’s circumstances. She represents individuals navigating child custody, paternity disputes, and post-decree modifications. She manages sensitive family transitions and court litigation, providing strategic advice to clients throughout the Salt Lake City region.

Diana earned an Associate of Science, magna cum laude, from Snow College before graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business Administration from Utah State University in 1990. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law in 1993 and was admitted to practice before the Utah state courts in 1994.

Diana is a Master Mediator and divorce mediator who, in addition to providing trial representation, helps families resolve disputes through alternative dispute resolution when appropriate. Her practice includes protecting parental rights, addressing financial issues in marital dissolutions, and handling a wide range of civil litigation matters. She also successfully litigated a notable Fourth Amendment constitutional rights case against local law enforcement.

Diana J. Huntsman gained valuable courtroom experience before entering private practice, serving as a prosecutorial intern with the Salt Lake County Attorney’s Office and as a judicial extern for the Honorable J. Thomas Greene of the United States District Court for the District of Utah. She is rostered as a Master Mediator by the Utah Administrative Office of the Courts and has been recognized by her peers with selection to the Super Lawyers list.
