Devon R. Baumbach

Devon R. Baumbach is a shareholder in the Madison office of von Briesen & Roper, s.c. He represents clients in commercial litigation, business, construction, real estate, and employment matters. With more than 20 years of experience, Devon handles disputes in state and federal trial and appellate courts. He also advises businesses and contractors on agreements, risk management, and legal issues that affect ongoing operations and important commercial projects.

Devon earned his J.D. and M.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin in 1994. He received his B.S., cum laude, from the University of Minnesota in 1990. His combined legal and business education provides a strong foundation for analyzing commercial disputes, evaluating financial and operational concerns, and developing practical strategies. He is admitted to practice in Wisconsin and is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin and the Dane County Bar Association.

Devon assists contractors and subcontractors with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating construction contracts. He also handles construction lien and bond claims, public contracting matters, and bidding disputes. His business practice includes organizing corporations and limited liability companies, advising on business purchases and sales, preparing commercial contracts and leases, and addressing insurance coverage concerns. Devon also represents employers in wage claims, ERISA disability benefit disputes, and matters involving noncompete and confidentiality agreements.
