Devin Storey

Devin Storey is an attorney who has dedicated his legal career to representing victims of childhood sexual abuse and individuals harmed by severe wrongdoing. His practice centers on complex civil litigation, where he has advocated for accountability, protected victim privacy, and pursued meaningful outcomes in cases involving abuse, negligence, and systemic failures.

Devin received his B.A. from Long Beach State University in 2001 before continuing his legal education. He earned his Juris Doctor from Whittier Law School, graduating magna cum laude, where he served on the Law Review and the Moot Court Honors Board and demonstrated strong academic achievement.

Devin focuses his practice on cases involving childhood sexual abuse and related civil claims. He has also handled personal injury matters involving product defect, wrongful death, medical malpractice, and brain injury. His work often involves representing multiple plaintiffs and managing legally complex matters with lasting consequences for survivors.

Devin has played a key role in large, coordinated actions involving institutional abuse. He has briefed and argued motions affecting hundreds of plaintiffs, opposed efforts to publicly identify victims proceeding anonymously, and helped negotiate landmark settlements while supporting the release of documents tied to alleged abuse.

Devin regularly litigates cases against religious organizations, youth groups, schools, and universities that failed to protect children and students from abuse. He also takes a lead role in appellate matters, briefing and arguing cases in the District Courts of Appeal and before the Supreme Court of California.

Devin Storey continues to support survivors beyond litigation by helping them access counseling resources and working to remove abusers from positions of authority. He has donated hundreds of hours to filing amicus curiae briefs and was recognized as a Superlawyers Magazine “Rising Star” from 2015 through 2018, as well as a “Lawyer on the Fast Track” in 2012.
