Devan Padmanabhan

Devan Padmanabhan is a seasoned intellectual property attorney with over 30 years of experience specializing in intellectual property litigation, trade secret misappropriation, and copyright law. As the co-founder of Padmanabhan & Dawson PLLC, he leads a boutique law firm dedicated to representing plaintiffs in complex intellectual property disputes.

Devan earned his Juris Doctor cum laude from Northwestern University School of Law in 1993 and holds a Bachelor of Science from Northwestern University in Electrical Engineering, graduating with honors as a Tau Beta Pi member and Eastman Kodak Scholar. His technical background in engineering uniquely equips him to navigate the complexities of intellectual property law, particularly in cases involving technology and innovation.

Throughout his career, Devan has represented various clients, from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies, helping them protect and enforce their intellectual property rights. His practice areas include patent litigation, trade secret litigation, trademark disputes, copyright cases, and technology contract litigation. He is also experienced in handling Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) proceedings, IP consulting, and the prosecution of intellectual property claims.

Before co-founding Padmanabhan & Dawson PLLC, Devan honed his legal skills at a large Midwest law firm, where he gained invaluable experience handling high-stakes intellectual property matters.
