Denzil D. McKenzie

Denzil D. McKenzie is the managing director and founder of McKenzie and Associates, P.C., a law firm providing legal solutions in business litigation, bankruptcy, tax appeals, estate planning, and corporate law. With over 40 years of experience, he is a trusted advisor to businesses, non-profits, and individuals navigating complex financial and corporate matters. McKenzie earned his Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law and studied tax law at the Boston University Graduate Tax Program. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, graduating magna cum laude. His strong academic background reinforces his expertise in financial, corporate, and tax-related legal matters.

Beginning his legal career as an Assistant Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, McKenzie gained early experience in litigation and regulatory law. Over the years, he has played a key role in advising businesses, corporate clients, and non-profits, serving as outside counsel to health and human service providers, religious institutions, and community organizations. His work includes legal governance, regulatory compliance, and financial structuring.

Denzil D. McKenzie is an active member of the American Bar Association, the Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association, and the Massachusetts Probate and Family American Inn of Court. He has served as Treasurer of the Clients’ Security Board of the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts and is a Fellow of both the Massachusetts Bar Foundation and the American Bar Foundation.
