Debra Rodriguez has devoted more than 27 years to the exclusive practice of immigration law. Her extensive experience and commitment to excellence have earned her recognition as a Board Certified Specialist in Immigration and Nationality Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, a distinction reflecting her deep expertise and service to clients across Texas.
Debra began her academic path at National University, where she completed her undergraduate studies in 1990. She went on to earn her J.D. from the National University School of Law in 1993. That same year, she was admitted to the California Bar, followed by her admission to the Texas Bar in 1998. Her advanced certification by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in 2007 further underscores her mastery of immigration law.
Debra has also been admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of Texas, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. She has played influential roles in professional organizations, serving as Former Chair of the State Bar of Texas Immigration Section and as a member of the American Immigration Lawyer’s Association (AILA). Her leadership has extended beyond the courtroom, shaping both professional and community initiatives.
Debra has received several honors for her contributions to law and mentorship, including the “Outstanding Young Lawyer of the Year” and “Outstanding Mentor” awards from the Corpus Christi Young Lawyers’ Association. Her service continues through involvement with the Texas Bar Foundation, American Heart Association’s Circle of Red, United Way Women United, and Tennis Success.
