Deborah completed her undergraduate studies at St. Mary’s College before earning her Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law. In 1992, Deborah became General Counsel for a medium-sized manufacturing company. There, she practiced corporate and employment law while overseeing the company’s complex litigation needs. Her work included managing legal compliance, directing litigation strategy, and providing informed, forward-thinking legal advice to support operational decisions.

By January 1996, Deborah co-founded LIFKA & LIFKA with Daniel E. Lifka, establishing a practice that continues to provide focused representation in corporate law, employment matters, and real estate transactions. She assists clients with business formation, operational compliance, contract drafting, and workplace-related issues, ensuring businesses understand their obligations and legal protections.
