Deborah Miller Tate is a highly respected family law attorney with an extensive divorce and matrimonial litigation background. With a career spanning over four decades, Deborah has earned recognition as a leader in family law, serving as President of the Rhode Island Bar Association from 1999 to 2000 and holding leadership roles in national legal organizations.
Deborah holds a Juris Doctor from the New England School of Law and an LL.M. in Taxation from Boston University School of Law. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Her legal education and specialized training at the Harvard Project on Negotiations for Matrimonial Lawyers have shaped her ability to navigate complex family law cases with precision and skill.
Deborah is a nationally recognized family law attorney and a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML). She is also a Diplomate of the American College of Family Trial Lawyers—an elite distinction limited to just 100 lawyers across the United States. Since 2013, Deborah has served on the State of Rhode Island Board of Bar Examiners, and she has been a member of the AAML Board of Governors since 2012.
