Deborah Geraldine Bledsoe Ford

Deborah Geraldine Bledsoe Ford is a Michigan criminal defense lawyer with nearly four decades of combined private practice and judicial experience. She served as a District Court Judge from 2005 through 2022 after more than 20 years in private practice. Her current work focuses on DUI and criminal defense, including assault, battery, domestic violence, drug crimes, felonies, misdemeanors, manslaughter, murder, sex crimes, weapons charges, and warrants.

Ms. Ford earned her J.D. from Boston College. She earned two M.A. degrees from the University of Michigan and a B.A. from Spelman College. Her academic background provided a foundation for a legal career spanning private practice, judicial service, criminal defense, and courtroom advocacy.
