David T. Roche

David T. Roche is a seasoned attorney with over 20 years of experience in criminal defense, civil rights, and personal injury litigation. As a Senior Partner in Sivin, Miller & Roche LLP, he provides strong legal representation for clients facing serious criminal charges and those seeking justice for civil rights violations. Mr. Roche has built a reputation for his aggressive defense strategies, courtroom skills, and commitment to protecting his clients’ rights.

Mr. Roche earned his LL.B. from the National University of Ireland, Galway, in 1992. He also holds a B.A. in Business from the same university. Admitted to the New York Bar in 1996, he has since built a distinguished legal career in both criminal and civil litigation.

Mr. Roche launched his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in Kings County (Brooklyn), rapidly advancing to Senior Trial Attorney. From 1996 to 2002, he prosecuted serious felony cases, including homicide, kidnapping, violent assault, larceny, and weapons offenses. This experience as a prosecutor gave him extensive courtroom trial skills and a deep, practical understanding of criminal law and the justice system.

Transitioning to civil litigation in 2002, Mr. Roche worked at Aaronson Rappaport Feinstein & Deutsch, specializing in medical malpractice and insurance law. In 2006, he founded his own law practice, focusing on criminal defense and civil litigation. Since then, he has successfully defended clients facing charges such as murder, manslaughter, sexual misconduct, domestic assault, burglary, grand larceny, firearms possession, and DUI offenses. His defense strategies have led to numerous acquittals and favorable plea deals.
