David S. Shughart

David S. Shughart is a trial attorney known for representing injured individuals and insurance policyholders in complex disputes. His practice focuses on personal injury and insurance litigation, including wrongful death, motor vehicle liability, premises liability, products liability, medical malpractice, insurance coverage, and insurance bad faith claims across Arizona courts today.

David completed his undergraduate studies at Arizona State University- Barrett’s Honors College, earning a B.A. (English) in 1990. He later attended the University of Arizona College of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor in 1993, gaining legal training that prepared him for courtroom advocacy and complex litigation work in Arizona courts statewide.

David has practiced law for more than thirty years, handling high-stakes civil disputes involving insurance coverage and personal injury claims. He has tried dozens of cases to verdict and arbitrated hundreds more, addressing accident, liability, and bad faith disputes for injured individuals throughout Arizona appellate courts as well today.

David has earned recognition for his litigation work, including selection to Arizona’s Finest Lawyers, Southwest Super Lawyers, and The Best Lawyers in America. He also holds an AV-rated, Martindale Hubbell distinction and is Board Certified in Injury and Wrongful Death, reflecting consistent respect from peers and the legal community statewide.

He also participates in bar committees and professional programs that support legal education, courtroom skills, and ongoing improvement within Arizona’s trial advocacy community and legal profession.
