David S. Mandel

David S. Mandel is the Managing Partner at Astor Weiss Kaplan & Mandel LLP and leads the firm’s Real Estate and Business Law Group. With a strong focus on commercial real estate, business transactions, and commercial litigation, he represents landlords, tenants, lenders, and investors across a range of industries. His clients include movie theaters, real estate firms, banks, and retailers. He works on deals involving shopping centers, industrial sites, loan transactions, and property sales. Mr. Mandel also helps form partnerships, syndications, and companies, guiding clients through legal contracts, business structures, and mergers.

Mr. Mandel earned his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law in 1977. He was awarded the Adam Smith Award by the university’s Economics Department. He also holds a B.S. in Economics, cum laude, from Villanova University, completed in 1974.

With decades of legal experience, Mr. Mandel is known for his meticulous, results-driven approach to complex commercial law. He represents both buyers and sellers in high-value real estate transactions and provides ongoing legal counsel to businesses on contracts, employment law, and corporate structuring.
