David Prelle Eron is the shareholder and CEO of Prelle Eron & Bailey, P.A., where he focuses on bankruptcy, litigation, and business transactions. Recognized for handling complex insolvency matters, including Chapter 11 and 12 cases, workouts, and liquidations, he has represented debtors, creditors, trustees, and businesses across a wide spectrum of industries in state and federal courts.

David earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a minor in French, from Iowa State University in 1998, and later received his Juris Doctor with distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2002. Licensed in Kansas and California, he is also admitted to practice before the 9th and 10th Circuit Courts of Appeals and multiple federal district courts.

Throughout his career, he has achieved significant recognition, including being named a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy and the American Bar Foundation. As Wichita’s only certified Business Bankruptcy Specialist by the American Board of Certification, he has been repeatedly listed in Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers, and recognized by Chambers USA for commercial litigation.

In addition to bankruptcy, he counsels clients on business formation, acquisitions, contracts, lending, and real estate transactions. He also advocates in commercial litigation and mediation, taking numerous cases to trial and evidentiary hearings. His clientele includes farms, banks, healthcare providers, landlords, developers, and small businesses, whom he helps navigate legal and financial challenges.

David Prelle Eron’s leadership extends to professional organizations such as the American Bankruptcy Institute, the American Board of Certification, and the Wesley E. Brown Inn of Court, where he has served as president. His contributions as a board member, editor, and committee leader reflect his dedication to advancing bankruptcy law and supporting both peers and clients alike.
