David M. Clem is a seasoned trial lawyer who handles high-stakes commercial litigation. He works closely with financial institutions, investment funds, mortgage lenders, fintech companies, and other businesses. His clients trust him to lead them through every step of the litigation process, from early evaluation to final judgment and enforcement.

David earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2000. He later received his Juris Doctor from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law in 2005, where he made the Dean’s List and served on the Law Review Editorial Board. He also took part in mock trial and worked as a research assistant during law school.

David is widely recognized for his ability to simplify complex legal issues. He avoids legal jargon, choosing clear and concise language that helps clients and juries alike understand the risks and arguments at hand. This direct approach has earned him favorable verdicts in jury trials, bench trials, and arbitration hearings.

David has secured case wins in a wide variety of financial matters, including lender liability, securities fraud, regulatory compliance, and wire fraud disputes. His courtroom experience includes defending banks from class actions and guiding clients through multi-district litigation. He also helps creditors enforce rights and recover assets post-judgment.

Beyond banking and finance, David M. Clem has represented real estate developers, insurers, oil and gas operators, and franchisees. He handles claims involving UCC Articles 4 and 4A, ACH fraud, garnishments, and federal regulatory issues. His courtroom victories include dismissals, summary judgments, and arbitration awards across multiple jurisdictions.

David is a member of several legal and banking associations, including the Southwest Association of Bank Counsel and the Southwest Bankers Association. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, multiple U.S. District Courts, and both the Fifth and Eleventh Circuit Courts of Appeals. David continues to be a strong advocate for financial and commercial clients across the country.
