David M. Briggs

David M. Briggs is an employment law and litigation attorney with more than two decades of legal experience helping organizations and professionals address workplace challenges and legal disputes. David works closely with clients to analyze complex situations, provide practical legal guidance, and resolve issues involving employment regulations and business conflicts.

David earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science & American History from Boston University in 2001. He later obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Oregon School of Law in 2006. These academic experiences built a strong foundation in legal reasoning, policy analysis, and the study of American legal institutions.

David focuses his legal practice on employment law and litigation. His work often involves advising clients on leave law matters, responding to BOLI complaints, drafting employment agreements, and handling disputes involving business relationships. Through careful analysis and practical advice, he helps clients understand their legal responsibilities and navigate challenging workplace issues.

David developed an early interest in litigation while attending law school, where he worked on legal matters related to defending individuals and organizations against claims. That experience shaped his approach to legal practice, emphasizing clear strategy and careful preparation when handling employment law and business litigation disputes.

David also contributes to the legal and business community through professional services. He served as President of the Marion County Bar Association in 2014. His involvement also includes work with SHRM Oregon State Council as Former Oregon State Legislative Affairs Director and the Salem Chapter of SHRM as Former Legislative Affairs Director.

David M. Briggs continues to guide clients through employment law concerns and litigation matters by offering thoughtful legal insight and helping clients address complicated problems with clarity and confidence. David participates in several professional organizations that support collaboration and continued learning within the legal profession. His activities include membership in the Willamette Valley Inns of Court and service on the Board of Directors for SEDCOR.
