David L. Sims is an experienced attorney who focuses his practice on banking law, commercial transactions, commercial litigation, creditors’ rights, creditor bankruptcy, foreclosure, mediation, and real estate law. He represents financial institutions, businesses, and individuals in complex disputes and financial matters, providing practical guidance and strong courtroom advocacy.

David earned a B.A. (cum laude) from Ouachita Baptist University in 1983. He later received his J.D. (with honors) from the University of Arkansas School of Law, 1986. During law school, he served as a Member, Arkansas Law Review, 1985-1986, strengthening his research, writing, and analytical skills.

David was admitted to practice in Arkansas in 1986. He is also admitted before the Arkansas State Courts, 1986, the U.S. District Court, Arkansas, 1987, the U.S. Court of Appeals, 1989, and the U.S. Supreme Court, 2005. His broad admissions allow him to handle matters at both the state and federal levels.

David has handled significant financial and commercial disputes. In Terra International, Inc. v. Tommy F. Robinson et al, he represented Terra International, Inc. in promissory note litigation before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas, obtaining summary judgment for $375,929.75 plus interest, attorneys’ fees, and costs, which was affirmed on appeal.

David L. Sims remains committed to guiding clients through complex financial disputes and real estate matters with clarity, preparation, and steady advocacy. David also represented Pine Bluff National Bank in Pine Bluff National Bank v. Hamco Realty, LLC, et al, a judicial foreclosure case in the Circuit Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas. He secured a consent judgment in rem and in personam totaling $2,113,969.02, plus interest, attorneys’ fees, and costs, protecting the client’s financial interests.
