David J. Morrissey

David J. Morrissey is a founding attorney at Morrissey, Morrissey & Rydzik, LLC in Naugatuck, Connecticut. A board-certified workers’ compensation specialist, he represents clients in workers’ compensation proceedings, personal injury claims, public-sector labor and pension matters, and Social Security disability cases. His practice includes helping injured employees pursue benefits, advising labor organizations, and addressing issues involving Connecticut heart and hypertension laws.

Morrissey earned his J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1979 and received his B.A. from Lafayette College in 1976. He was admitted to the Connecticut bar in 1979 and to the US District Court for the District of Connecticut in 1985. His legal education and decades of practice provide a strong foundation for evaluating workplace injuries, disability claims, labor disputes, pension concerns, and related administrative and court proceedings.

Morrissey has represented clients at every level of the Connecticut workers’ compensation system, including matters before the Connecticut Supreme Court. David J. Morrissey has held leadership positions within the Connecticut Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation Section and has served on committees addressing workers’ compensation law and specialist certification. He is a Fellow of the College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers and has received an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
