David E. Ross

David E. Ross is a founding partner of Ross Aronstam & Moritz LLP in Wilmington, Delaware. He represents clients in high-profile corporate and commercial litigation, trade secret disputes, trust contests, and other complex business matters. His practice includes expedited proceedings, requests for injunctive relief, trials, appeals, and arbitrations before the Delaware Court of Chancery, Delaware Superior Court, Delaware Supreme Court, federal courts, and AAA and JAMS panels.

Ross earned his J.D. from Columbia University in 1995, where he received honors for legal writing, oral advocacy, and constitutional law. He was also a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and a member of the Journal of Law and Social Policy. He received his B.A. from Johns Hopkins University in 1994. His academic training and advocacy experience provide a strong foundation for analyzing complex corporate disputes and presenting difficult legal issues clearly in court.

Ross has served as lead trial and appellate counsel in significant matters involving mergers and acquisitions, fiduciary duties, valuation disputes, trade secrets, contract claims, and contested business transactions. His representative experience includes proceedings connected to CBS, Facebook, Solera Holdings, BMC Software, Caesars Entertainment, Rohm and Haas, and other major companies. He has also represented national and international law firms and argued appeals before the Delaware Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

David E. Ross is a Fellow and member of the Board of Regents of the American College of Trial Lawyers. He has been recognized by Chambers USA, Chambers Global, The Legal 500, Lawdragon, and Benchmark Litigation for his work in Court of Chancery litigation, trial practice, and M&A disputes. He also serves on the Court of Chancery Rules Committee, writes and speaks on corporate law and trial strategy, and contributes pro bono representation in significant constitutional litigation.
