David B. Carr

David B. Carr is a partner at Husch Blackwell who represents clients in state and federal courts across the United States. Based in the firm’s Milwaukee and Dallas offices, his practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, consumer credit defense, real estate disputes, construction defect claims, tort defense, products liability, aviation, and business disputes. He also serves as national coordinating litigation counsel for financial technology companies and other large corporate clients.

Carr earned his J.D. from Marquette University Law School and his B.B.A. in Marketing from Butler University, where he was a Morton Finney Leadership Scholar. During law school, he gained practical courtroom exposure as a judicial intern for Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Jeffrey A. Wagner. His academic and early legal experience provided a foundation for handling litigation involving complex factual records, commercial relationships, consumer claims, and high-stakes disputes.

Carr’s experience includes defending fraud and consumer claims in state and federal courts and American Arbitration Association proceedings. He serves as local counsel for a Fortune 50 automobile manufacturer in Wisconsin Consumer Act cases and regularly represents major restaurant, retail, construction, and financial services companies. His work also includes construction defect cases, premises liability matters, personal injury defense, mediation, and trial work involving significant commercial and tort claims.
