Daniel V. Carsey is a Shareholder and Director at Hall Estill, where he leads a high-level commercial litigation practice. He represents businesses nationwide in complex disputes, particularly in the banking, energy, and technology sectors. With extensive courtroom experience, Carsey has tried over a hundred cases and is frequently retained as lead counsel in multi-million dollar matters. He is known for building long-term client relationships by delivering results and strategic legal solutions.
Carsey earned his J.D. with highest honors from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 2005. He served as Editor-in-Chief of the Tulsa Law Review and received several distinctions, including the Order of the Curule Chair and the American Legal Institute-American Bar Association Leadership & Scholarship Award. He earned his B.A. in History, cum laude, from Newman University in 2002.
Following law school, Carsey clerked for the Honorable Earl S. Hines of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, gaining key insight into federal judicial processes. He is admitted to practice in both Oklahoma and Texas and before numerous U.S. District and Bankruptcy Courts, as well as the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Carsey’s practice spans commercial and business litigation, creditors’ rights, bankruptcy, oil and gas law, and financial services. He is often called upon for complex legal matters involving high financial stakes. His work includes litigation related to contractual disputes, insolvency issues, and regulatory matters in heavily regulated industries.
Daniel V. Carsey has earned repeated recognition for his legal work, including selection as an Oklahoma Super Lawyer in both Business and General Litigation and as a Best Lawyer in America in Commercial Litigation and Oil & Gas Law. He was also named a 405 Top Commercial Litigation Attorney and was recognized as an “Achiever Under 40” by the Journal Record.
