Daniel Snyder is a highly experienced litigator dedicated to protecting the rights of individuals across Oregon. With a practice focused entirely on litigation, he represents clients in civil rights disputes, sexual harassment claims, employment law matters, motor vehicle accidents, and whistleblower/Qui Tam actions. His steadfast advocacy has helped workers, individuals with injuries, and marginalized communities secure justice.
Daniel earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 1977 and his Bachelor of Arts from West Liberty State College in 1974, graduating with high honors. He further refined his litigation skills through participation in the Hastings College of the Law’s Trial and Appellate Advocacy program in 1985. His strong educational foundation supports his effective courtroom strategies and client advocacy.
Daniel’s legal career began as a law clerk for the Honorable James Ellis, followed by prosecutorial roles in Jefferson and Multnomah Counties. He then served as Deputy City Attorney in Portland before entering private practice. His extensive background in public service informs his deep understanding of government processes and civil justice.
Over the years, Daniel has successfully represented clients in complex cases involving discrimination, harassment, and disability rights. He has advocated for the deaf community facing systemic barriers, fought wrongful terminations, and challenged hostile work environments. His commitment to protecting whistleblowers and injured workers reflects his passion for holding institutions accountable.
Admitted to the Oregon Bar in 1978, Daniel is also licensed to practice before the U.S. District Court of Oregon, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is an active member of the Oregon State Bar, American Bar Association, and Oregon Trial Lawyers Association, among others.
