Robert H. Blondis

Robert H. Blondis has built a distinguished legal career helping clients in personal injury and workers’ compensation cases. He has secured strong outcomes for victims of nursing home neglect, traumatic brain injuries, and workplace accidents. Robert earned his Juris Doctor from Marquette University Law School in 1969. He is licensed to practice in Wisconsin, the U.S. District Courts for both Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin, and the United States Supreme Court. Robert began his legal journey with Legal Action of Wisconsin, Inc., serving as staff attorney and later Associate Director. During that decade, he fought for the rights of low-income and disabled individuals, handling major civil rights cases that impacted mental health and family law across the country.

Robert later co-founded a private law firm, where he continued to champion civil rights and fight for justice. He played a key role in landmark cases such as Lessard v. Schmidt, which transformed mental health law, and Redhail v. Zablocki, which affirmed marriage as a fundamental constitutional right. His impact as a civil rights attorney and mental health advocate has been widely recognized, including being named “Mental Health Citizen of the Year.”

Robert has achieved substantial settlements in recent personal injury and workers’ compensation cases. These include compensation for traumatic brain injuries, wrongful deaths, and serious emotional trauma. His work has helped clients recover after devastating accidents, including a child injured in a drunk driving crash and victims of negligence in care facilities.
