Daniel K. Hogan is the Managing Member of Hogan McDaniel, Attorneys at Law, and has more than 35 years of experience representing clients in complex transactions and disputes. His practice focuses on commercial bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, commercial litigation, and real estate transactions. Daniel has played a key role in major bankruptcy cases nationwide, including mass tort and asbestos proceedings, where he has represented secured creditors, trustees, creditors’ committees, and legal representatives. He is known for guiding clients through high-stakes matters with skill, precision, and a strong commitment to results.
Daniel earned his J.D. from Widener University School of Law in 1989 after completing his B.S. at Wake Forest University in 1986. He was admitted to practice in Delaware and Pennsylvania in 1990 and is also admitted before the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. His academic and professional background has provided him with the knowledge and experience to handle some of the most complex financial disputes in the country.
Daniel’s representative work includes serving as counsel to the Official Committees of Unsecured Creditors in the ongoing Chapter 11 cases of Kidde Fenwal and Exactech, Inc., as well as representing plaintiffs in the Takata Corporation and TPC Group bankruptcies. He also served as counsel for the largest group of sexual abuse survivors in the Boy Scouts of America Chapter 11 case and has represented asbestos trusts in matters such as Combustion Engineering and ABB Lummus. In addition, he has represented major financial institutions in litigation involving bank and bond debt arrangements, achieving multiple eight-figure settlements.
Active in the legal community, Daniel K. Hogan volunteers with Delaware Volunteer Legal Services and is a member of the Delaware and Pennsylvania Bar Associations. His career reflects both professional achievement and dedication to serving the community.
