About

Daniel D. Doyle focuses on complex business litigation, bankruptcy matters, and transportation disputes. His legal work has involved federal circuit courts, state courts, and large financial conflicts with national impact. He has represented creditors, debtors, transportation companies, and tribal entities in challenging matters that required detailed legal strategy and careful case management.

Daniel earned a B.S. in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1977 before completing his J.D. from the Washington University School of Law in 1989. Before attending law school, he worked as an investigative journalist for newspapers in Memphis. That reporting background helped him develop strong research, writing, and fact-gathering abilities for legal matters.

Daniel has guided clients through significant bankruptcy proceedings, including large Chapter 11 transportation cases involving both creditors and debtors. He also filed a Chapter 9 bankruptcy case for a rural hospital that later achieved plan confirmation with governmental support. The successful restructuring helped preserve healthcare services for an underserved region with limited medical resources.

Daniel has contributed to legal education through several publications and professional writing projects. He co-authored “Practitioner’s Guide to Liquidation and Liquidating Trusts” for the American Bankruptcy Institute in 2015. He also edited bankruptcy law materials connected to retiree benefits while representing the Official Committee of Retirees during the Solutia Inc. bankruptcy matter in New York.

Daniel has handled matters involving transportation companies, financial institutions, bankruptcy committees, and class action plaintiffs. His representative cases include work connected to Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation and Native American Distributing v. Seneca-Cayuga Tobacco Co. He has also represented parties involved in trucking reorganizations, committee counsel matters, and major commercial bankruptcy proceedings across several jurisdictions.

Daniel has received recognition for his work in bankruptcy law through selections to the Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers lists and inclusion in Missouri Lawyers Weekly’s Power List of Bankruptcy Law Attorneys in 2021. He also holds the Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent® Peer Review Rating and remains active in several legal and transportation law associations.

Daniel D. Doyle continues to represent clients in bankruptcy, litigation, and transportation matters with a practical and detailed approach. His career reflects experience in courtroom advocacy, financial restructuring, and legal writing. Through decades of work, he has assisted businesses, committees, and organizations facing difficult disputes while helping clients manage complicated legal and financial challenges
