Dan M. Collander is a seasoned attorney and founder of Collander Law Offices, Ltd., based in Naperville, Illinois. With more than four decades of experience, he focuses his practice on real estate transactions, estate planning, wills, trusts, probate, and corporate formations. Known for his professionalism and integrity, Dan has earned a strong reputation for guiding individuals, families, and small businesses through complex legal matters with care and precision.

Dan earned his J.D. from IIT/Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1979, where he received the Bar and Gavel Award for outstanding service to the school and legal community. He completed his B.A. in Speech Communications from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, with minors in Mathematics and Political Science. Since his admission to the Illinois Bar in 1979, he has continuously practiced law in Naperville, combining technical knowledge with practical experience to deliver effective legal solutions.

Dan’s practice includes handling residential and commercial real estate closings, trust and estate planning, probate administration, and small business formations. He also serves as a board member of the Illinois Real Estate Lawyers Association and played a key role in drafting and reviewing the Multi-Board Contract used across Illinois. He is an active member of the DuPage County Bar Association, contributing to its Real Estate Law and Trusts and Estate Planning Committees.
