Dan completed his legal education at The University of Iowa College of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor. Earlier, he obtained a BBA in Finance from the University of Iowa Tippie College of Business. This progression strengthened his analytical approach, allowing him to evaluate liability, damages, and evidence with precision in complex litigation matters.
Dan launched his legal career in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps, serving as both prosecutor and defense counsel. He handled high-stakes military cases, including courts-martial involving serious offenses. This role demanded adaptability, ethical judgment, and courtroom confidence under pressure early in his professional development.
Dan transitioned his skills to personal injury litigation, where he has represented injury victims exclusively for several years. Across nearly 200 trials in federal and state courts, he has confronted powerful defendants, including the U.S. Government, applying disciplined preparation and persuasive advocacy to complex, contested matters.
Dan’s work has earned recognition within the legal community, including listings in Best Lawyers in America and selection by the National Trial Lawyers Association’s Top 100 Trial Lawyers.
