Cary M. Toland is a highly respected trial attorney with a long-standing commitment to justice for injured individuals and grieving families. A native of the Rio Grande Valley, he has built a reputation as a formidable advocate in wrongful death and serious personal injury litigation across Texas and beyond.
Cary earned his Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s School of Law in San Antonio, graduating Cum Laude in 1992. Shortly thereafter, he served as a Federal Law Clerk to the Honorable Filemon B. Vela of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, an experience that shaped his approach to trial advocacy.
Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 2001, Cary has consistently demonstrated excellence in complex litigation. In 2005, he was invited to join the American Board of Trial Advocates in recognition of his skill, professionalism, and courtroom achievements.
Cary’s leadership within the legal profession is equally notable. He has served on the State Bar of Texas Board of Legal Specialization Personal Injury Trial Law credentialing committee since 2010, helping uphold rigorous standards for trial lawyers statewide. He is also a frequent contributor to the advancement of trial practice.
Licensed to practice in all Texas state courts, multiple United States District Courts, the Federal Claims Court in Washington, D.C., and the Eastern District of Louisiana, Cary brings broad jurisdictional experience. He is also a member of the Vaccination Court Bar in Washington, D.C.
