Daimeon Cotton

Daimeon Cotton is the founder and managing attorney of Cotton Law Center, PLLC, with offices in Highland Park and Detroit, Michigan. His legal practice focuses on employment law, workers’ compensation, and alternative dispute resolution. Known for his strategic and results-driven approach, Mr. Cotton represents individuals and businesses in complex civil matters and provides mediation services to help disputing parties reach practical solutions.

Mr. Cotton earned both his J.D. and M.A. from Wayne State University. His legal background includes experience with respected law firms such as Williams Acosta, PLLC, and The Miller Law Firm, PC. In addition to his litigation practice, he has served as a mediator for Wayne Mediation Center and 36th District Court. His mission is to help clients prevent legal issues when possible, resolve disputes efficiently, and protect their rights and interests through effective advocacy.

Licensed to practice in all Michigan courts and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, Mr. Cotton has earned honors including the Super Lawyers Rising Stars designation (2017–2019) and Top 40 Under 40 by The National Black Lawyers (2016–2017).

Beyond his legal practice, Daimeon Cotton is deeply involved in legal education and community outreach. He contributes to the Institute of Continuing Legal Education (ICLE), serves on advisory boards, and regularly presents on employment law and civil rights issues. He is also a columnist for Detroit Smart Pages and co-author of several legal publications, including resources for nonprofit organizations and small businesses.
