Kristy L. Bennett is a seasoned attorney who focuses her legal practice on employment and civil rights law. With more than two decades of courtroom experience, Kristy has effectively advocated for clients facing workplace injustice, including discrimination, retaliation, and harassment. Her strategic litigation has resulted in favorable outcomes and lasting legal impact.
Kristy received her Bachelor of Science in English, cum laude, from the University of Mississippi in 1996. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1999. While in law school, she was named to the Dean’s List and received both the Harry L. Case Memorial and Albert N. Hopkins Scholarships, along with the Outstanding Student Award in International Law.
Kristy began her legal career handling civil rights cases as the legal director for the ACLU of Mississippi. She later broadened her experience at employment-focused firms, where she litigated complex cases involving medical leave, overtime violations, and workplace harassment. Her strong courtroom presence has been proven through precedent-setting cases across state and federal courts.
Kristy is admitted to practice law in Tennessee and Mississippi and is licensed before multiple U.S. District Courts as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. As an active member of the Tennessee Bar Association and The Mississippi Bar, she consistently demonstrates her commitment to excellence in legal advocacy and client service.
