D. Robert “Bobby” Wells

Robert “Bobby” Wells brings more than 30 years of legal experience to criminal defense, personal injury, and workers’ compensation matters in Florida. His practice includes state and federal criminal cases, motorcycle accidents, and injury claims. He is known for giving clear guidance, preparing carefully, and protecting clients when the legal process feels overwhelming.

Bobby earned a B.S. in Art and Broadcasting from the University of Miami in 1988. He later received a J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law in 1992. He also earned a Certificate in Integrated Communications from Florida International University in 2000, adding another layer to his professional background.

Bobby began his legal career as a trial associate with Albert J. Krieger, P.A. In that role, he served as trial counsel in one of the largest federal cocaine conspiracy cases ever prosecuted. That early courtroom work helped shape his ability to manage demanding litigation and respond to complex legal challenges.

Bobby later expanded his practice through defense-side work, including serving as a senior litigator and as managing attorney for the Fort Lauderdale office of a national workers’ compensation defense firm. That experience gave him direct knowledge of how employers, carriers, and opposing counsel evaluate claims and build their legal strategies.

Bobby has also represented injured workers and other individuals in contested legal matters involving benefits, medical authorizations, permanent disability issues, severe injuries, and disputed liability. Because he has handled cases from different sides, he can spot weaknesses in the opposition’s position and build practical strategies focused on each client’s needs.

Bobby is admitted to The Florida Bar and to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. He has also served as a Guest Lecturer at the University of Miami School of Law in its Litigation Skills Program.
