Cynthia Pietrucha is an employment attorney committed to protecting the rights of workers across Illinois. With more than a decade of experience, she has guided over 1,500 employees and small business owners through complex matters involving unemployment insurance, wrongful terminations, separation agreements, and medical leave disputes. Her approach combines practical solutions with compassionate advocacy to restore balance in challenging workplace situations.

Cynthia earned a Pre-Law, Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism, and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where her dual-degree studies strengthened her communication and analytical skills. She later received her Juris Doctor in Law from Northern Illinois University College of Law. During law school, she served as a labor delegate at the U.S.-Mexico border, concentrating on civil rights and Mexican labor law, and also pursued entertainment and media law studies in Los Angeles, California.

Cynthia has expanded her legal work beyond employment matters to include BIPA and biometric privacy violations, contract disputes, consumer and business fraud, and talent management for artists. Her diverse practice reflects a commitment to defending individuals’ rights in both workplace and creative settings. She also volunteers with Lawyers for the Creative Arts, assisting musicians, actors, and dancers with legal challenges, and serves on the Oconomowoc Chamber Orchestra Board of Directors in Wisconsin.

Cynthia is an active member of the Illinois State Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Section Council and the Make-A-Wish Illinois Associate Board. As a frequent legal presenter, she has spoken on topics including Illinois’ Paid Leave Law, employment termination, pay equity, and workplace discrimination for organizations such as the National Business Institute and the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education.
