Cynthia Griffin

Cynthia Griffin is a Partner at Modern Family Law in Denver, Colorado, where she brings both empathy and courtroom skill to her family law practice. With a background in divorce, child custody, child support, and family law matters, Cynthia is known for guiding clients through legal challenges with clarity, compassion, and confidence.

Cynthia earned her B.A. in Public Relations and Advertising with a focus in Crisis Communication, and a minor in Psychology, from DePaul University. She received her J.D. from Creighton University School of Law in 2016.

Cynthia began her legal career managing her own firm, where she focused on family law, juvenile delinquency, and contract disputes. She later served as a Deputy District Attorney in Eastern Colorado, prosecuting misdemeanors and felonies and managing a caseload of over 400 active cases. Her litigation experience and calm, confident presence in court make her a strong advocate, whether a case ends in negotiation or trial.

A skilled communicator and former member of competitive trial and voir dire teams, Cynthia has earned multiple accolades, including semi-finalist placements in national competitions and the Lyle Strom Trial Advocacy Award. Her training and background in crisis communication give her a unique advantage when supporting families during emotionally difficult transitions.
