Craig M. Peters is a seasoned trial attorney and partner at Altair Law® in San Francisco. He focuses on catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death cases involving product defects, medical malpractice, construction and industrial accidents, and dangerous property conditions. Known for his powerful courtroom presence, Craig has obtained numerous verdicts and settlements on behalf of individuals and families impacted by serious injury or loss. His clients include workers, union members, professionals, and service industry employees, whom he represents with strategic focus and compassion.
Craig earned his J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law and holds B.A. degrees in Philosophy and Communications from the University of California, San Diego.
Craig has tried cases throughout California involving brain and spinal cord injuries, burns, fractures, and psychiatric harm. When cases are too complex or reach trial, other attorneys often bring Craig in as lead trial counsel. His recent accomplishments include the top personal injury verdict in Alameda County in 2023. He is also frequently invited to teach trial skills at law schools and professional organizations, and he has conducted international legal training through organizations like International Bridges to Justice.
Before founding Altair Law®, Craig M. Peters represented asbestos victims and worked for over a decade as a criminal defense attorney. He also served as Director of Training for the San Francisco Public Defender’s Office. In addition to litigation, he has taught constitutional law and evidence and has served in leadership roles with top legal associations.
