Courtney G. Sweet

Courtney G. Sweet, Esq. is an experienced shareholder who represents clients across Nevada, California, and nationwide. Her clients include individuals, business owners, developers, homeowners, landlords, tenants, contractors, and real estate professionals. She is known for delivering clear guidance and working closely with clients to achieve strong, efficient outcomes.

Courtney earned her Juris Doctorate from Notre Dame Law School, University of Notre Dame in 2007, where she received the Notre Dame Fellowship scholarship. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts from the Robert D. Clark Honors College, University of Oregon in 2004, graduating Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa.

She has appeared in both state and federal courts in Nevada and California, including at the appellate level. Her experience includes jury and non-jury trials, arbitrations, and mediations. She handles a wide range of disputes and works to resolve matters effectively while protecting her clients’ interests.

Courtney has also contributed to the legal field through writing and education. She is the author of published articles on topics affecting individuals and businesses, including personal liability shields and construction defect reform. She has also presented educational seminars to both legal and non-legal professional organizations.

Courtney is active in her community and professional organizations. She serves on the board of directors for The Prospectors’ Club, Bishop Manogue Catholic High School, and the Nevada Women’s Fund. She is also a member of the Washoe County Bar Association and supports various community efforts.

Courtney G. Sweet previously served on the board of the Crisis Call Center from 2009 to 2016, including two terms as President, and on the board of Mariposa Dual Language Academy from 2017 to 2022. She is admitted to practice in Nevada and California and remains committed to client service.
