Clifford W. Stevens

Clifford W. Stevens is a principal at Neumiller & Beardslee with a practice centered on real property, bankruptcy, and business litigation. Since beginning his legal career in 1990, he has built broad experience assisting both commercial and residential common interest developments. Recognized since 2007 as a Northern California Super Lawyer, he is among the top five percent of attorneys in the region.

Clifford earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from California State University, Fullerton in 1987, and received his Juris Doctor in 1990 from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. While at McGeorge, Clifford was a member of the Order of the Barristers and served as staff writer, Legislation Editor, and Board of Editors member for the Pacific Law Journal. He is admitted to practice before all federal and state courts in California.

Throughout his career, Clifford has combined legal excellence with leadership and service. He served as managing shareholder of Neumiller & Beardslee from 2003 to 2019, guiding the firm’s operations and growth. He has also been active in bar associations at the county, state, and federal levels, contributing to the development of the legal profession in California.

Beyond the courtroom, Clifford W. Stevens is deeply engaged in his community. His service includes roles with the Business Council of San Joaquin County, the San Joaquin County Bar Association Board of Governors, and the Brookside West Owners’ Association. He has also held leadership positions with the American Cancer Society and served on the boards of the Stockton Shelter for the Homeless and the Library and Literacy Foundation of San Joaquin County.
