About
Cliff E. Cardone, founder of Cardone Law Firm, has practiced law in New Orleans for more than five decades. His career began in the district attorney’s office, where he served as senior trial attorney and tried over 300 cases. Today, he focuses on representing injury victims in personal injury, wrongful death, and complex litigation.
Cliff earned his Bachelor of Arts from the State University of New York at Buffalo and subsequently received his Juris Doctor from Loyola University School of Law. Early in his career, he was mentored by Charles G. Merritt, a general practitioner who exposed him to multiple areas of law. This foundation ultimately guided him toward personal injury practice and client advocacy.
Over the years, Cliff has achieved significant results, including multimillion-dollar verdicts and precedent-setting cases. He argued successfully before the United States Supreme Court, an honor granted to very few attorneys nationwide. His advocacy also led to safety improvements on the Crescent City Connection Bridge following a case involving inadequate lighting. His practice includes auto and truck accidents, medical malpractice, premises liability, and catastrophic injury cases.
Cliff E. Cardone’s philosophy emphasizes restoring clients’ lives through strong advocacy and community service. He leads the Cardone Cares Program, which donates a portion of legal fees to local charities in clients’ names. Known for his client-first approach, he assembles expert teams to strengthen cases and deliver justice. With over 50 years of dedication, Cliff remains a trusted advocate for victims across Louisiana.
