Clay R Treese is a Blackfoot, Idaho attorney who represents clients in personal injury, estate planning, probate, and criminal defense matters. Treese earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Lee Business School. He received his Juris Doctor from the William S. Boyd School of Law in 2005 and became licensed to practice the following year. In 2006, he served as a law clerk to Nevada District Court Judge Cynthia “Diane” Steel, gaining direct insight into judicial decision-making, courtroom procedure, and careful legal analysis.

Before representing injured people and families, Treese spent three years working at an insurance defense firm. That experience gave him firsthand knowledge of how insurers evaluate claims, develop defenses, and approach settlement decisions. He now applies that perspective when handling personal injury matters and advising clients facing difficult legal problems. His broader practice also includes preparing estate plans, guiding families through probate, and defending individuals charged with crimes.
