Clark Giles is a legal advisor with deep roots in technology, privacy, and business strategy. He combines legal expertise with over 20 years of experience managing enterprise IT systems and leading technology innovation in the public and private sectors. His work focuses on providing business-savvy legal solutions that are practical, secure, and tailored to each client’s needs.

Clark earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from IU McKinney School of Law in 2016, followed by a Master of Laws in Intellectual Property in 2023. His legal education supports a broader background in governance, data protection, and regulatory compliance across diverse industries.

Clark holds multiple top-tier certifications, including Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US), Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT/US), and Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT). He is also a Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE) and a Fellow of the International Association of Privacy Professionals, reflecting deep expertise in data privacy, information security, and IT governance.

Before entering the legal field, Clark served as Chief Technology Officer and the first Chief Information Security Officer for the City of Indianapolis/Marion County. He also led IT departments in Higher Education and served on the board of ISACA’s Indiana Chapter. His strategic leadership shaped data security and governance for large institutions and local government.

Beyond law and IT, Clark Giles has over 23 years of experience as a real estate broker and has co-founded several start-ups, two of which were acquired successfully. This entrepreneurial perspective enables him to provide grounded, strategic legal and business advice to emerging ventures and established enterprises alike.
