About
Chuck Berendes is an immigration attorney with extensive experience helping individuals and families navigate complex immigration matters. His practice focuses on immigration law, including fiancé visas, marriage-based Green Cards, naturalization, parole in place cases, and related legal issues. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with clients seeking lawful status and opportunities in the United States.
Chuck earned a B.A. in English from the University of St. John’s in 2002. He later received a Juris Doctor from the University of St. Thomas School of Law in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 2007. To further strengthen his professional knowledge, he earned an M.B.A. from Viterbo University in 2012. This educational background supports both his legal and business-related understanding.
Chuck began building his legal career after returning to the Midwest following law school. He spent nine years working as an immigration attorney, developing an immigration practice that assisted people from across western Wisconsin. During this period, he handled a wide range of immigration matters and gained significant experience addressing the legal challenges faced by immigrants and their families.
Chuck has also held leadership responsibilities beyond legal representation. In addition to his immigration work, he served as Assistant Executive Director of an agency that supported several community programs. His responsibilities included overseeing initiatives connected to housing, family services, and assistance programs. These experiences expanded his understanding of the practical issues that often affect people seeking legal guidance.
Chuck regularly assists clients with family-based immigration matters and works to help families remain together during complicated legal proceedings. He has represented U.S. citizen spouses whose family members faced immigration challenges and has guided clients through applications, documentation requirements, and government procedures. His approach combines legal knowledge with clear communication throughout every stage of the process.
Chuck Berendes continues to focus on immigration law while helping clients pursue legal status, citizenship, and family reunification goals. His background in law, business, and community service allows him to provide thoughtful guidance to individuals facing important immigration decisions. Through dedicated representation, he helps clients move forward with confidence while working toward lasting solutions for their futures.
