Christopher earned his B.S. from Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois, in 1997. He earned his J.D. from John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois, in 2000. During college and law school, he participated in mock trial competitions, building trial advocacy skills he still uses in court.
Christopher was admitted to practice in Illinois in 2000. After law school, he worked as a Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney from 2000 to 2002, gaining courtroom experience while prosecuting DUIs, traffic matters, misdemeanors, and felony review cases for police departments seeking felony charges in the Fifth District court setting.
After leaving the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, Christopher worked in downtown Chicago practicing defense of civil litigation and worker’s compensation. Since 2004, he has worked with Bruce A. Self, focusing on criminal defense and family law matters for clients in several northern Illinois counties, local courts, and communities there.
Christopher is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, Kane County Bar Association, and Kendall County Bar Association. He served as Kendall County Bar President from 2010 to 2011. He has handled pro bono cases through CASA, Prairie State Legal Services, and Kendall County “Lawyer in the Lobby” program.
