Christopher L. Russo

Christopher L. Russo is the managing partner of Kirshenbaum & Kirshenbaum and concentrates his practice on representing personal injury plaintiffs. He handles matters involving car collisions, slip and fall injuries, bicycle and motorcycle accidents, and tractor-trailer crashes. His work also includes medical malpractice and selected criminal defense matters. He has spent his legal career with the firm since entering the Rhode Island bar in 1991 and has served as managing partner since 2010.

Christopher earned a B.A. from Boston College in 1988 and a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School. During law school, he represented Suffolk University in a regional American Bar Association Trial Advocacy Competition. His education and trial advocacy training provided a foundation for litigation, evidence review, case preparation, and courtroom presentation. Those skills support a practice centered on injured clients whose claims can involve disputed liability, complex medical issues, insurance questions, and substantial factual investigation before settlement or trial.

Christopher handles tractor-trailer collision cases that require familiarity with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and the risks associated with commercial vehicles. His criminal defense experience includes District Court misdemeanor offenses, Superior Court felony matters, and Federal District Court cases. His practice is heavily litigation-oriented, and he is admitted in Rhode Island state and federal courts as well as before the United States Supreme Court. This combination of injury and criminal litigation gives him extensive courtroom and case-management experience.

He previously served on the Rhode Island Association for Justice Board of Governors.
